Our Mission

Grace Fellowship exists to glorify God by making followers of Jesus Christ who DELIGHT in His worship, NURTURE His people, and ADVANCE his kingdom with prayerful dependence upon His Spirit.

Some of our Core Values...

Scripture

The Bible is the word of God and our only standard for what we believe and how we live.  Because we’re so desperately sinful, our intellect, will, and emotions are terribly flawed.  It’s only through the Word of God that we can test and know God’s will for our lives.

Worship

Everyone worships what they dearly prize.  We believe that God alone is worthy of our deepest affections.  Therefore, we’re seeking to be satisfied in Him and to worship Him with all our lives.  When we come together as a church for worship our sole purpose is to delight in God’s presence as we exalt the name of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel

The Gospel has the power to transform individual lives and whole communities.  We’re big sinners who are experiencing the extravagant grace that God lavishes on his adopted sons and daughters.  We want to be conduits of that grace to Asheboro, NC.

Disciple Making

The church’s single mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.  This is characterized by a call for people to repent of their own self-righteousness and cling to the righteousness of Jesus Christ alone for their standing before God and men.

God Dependance

Our lives should be characterized by a humble dependence upon God as evidenced in prayer and the personal study of His Word.

Excellence

Because every sphere of our lives involves worship, we should always seek to achieve the highest quality with our available resources. We give our full effort because God desires and deserves it.

Freedom of Conscience

God alone is Lord of the individual conscience, and we must resist the temptation to impose personal views, doctrines, and rules upon others, which are either contrary to or held in addition to what God has set forth in His Word.

Quoted

"When the Bible says that God sticks with us, the emphasis is on this dependable personal relationship, that he is always there for us…that he ‘sticks with us’ is the reason Christians can look back over a long life crisscrossed with cruelties, unannounced tragedies, unexpected setbacks, sufferings, disappointments, depressions—look back across all that and see it as a road of blessing, and make a song out of what we see. ..God sticks to his relationship. He establishes a personal relationship with us and stays with it. The central reality for Christians is the personal, unalterable, persevering commitment God makes to us. Perseverance is not the result of our determination, it is the result of God’s faithfulness. We survive in the way of faith not because we have extraordinary stamina but because God is righteous, because God sticks with us. Christian discipleship is a process of paying more and more attention to God’s righteousness and less and less attention to our own."
